christmas gifts galore!

Christmas turned out pretty good except for it being kinda a really long day, didn't sleep very well on Christmas eve and woke up early to put the rest of the gifts out for my lil brothers. i was so tired my head hurt so after we opened presents and ate breakfast i had to go back to bed for about an hour so i would be able to function for the rest of the day.. I spent Christmas eve with my family, my mom, dad, lil bros and my lil sisters and my grandma from my dad's side came over early the next day, we watched The Santa Clause as my mom finished wrapping presents. from my family i got: skinny jeans, new shirts/sweaters (really needed new warm clothes), a grey hoodie, necklaces, tons of bracelets and earrings, Bed Head hair stuff, pajamas, beauty stuff like face wash and soap.

I got my family: dad-suns tix, movie and wallet; mom-new clothes, butterfly cameo music box, art stuff, and cute jewelry stand; my sisters-new clothes and movies; lil bros- learning laptop, cars and floor mat, play tent and tunnel, pillows, stocking stuffers, lego's, and crayola glow board and art stuff; and Derek got them Wall-e.

after spending time w/ my family, i went over to Derek's to open up my presents and have Christmas dinner. i noticed on their family stocking they added my name and lately his family has been calling me Aunt Arielle in which my mom talked to my aunt in NM and my brother Joe's girlfriend that he's been with ever since he moved to CO is pregnant, kinda exciting hopefully this new baby will bring us all a lil bit closer.

when i got to Derek's, his nephew Kolton wanted to know where the presents i got him were right off the bat.. haha.. we eventually opened presents after eating some appetizers cuz we were all hungry and Kolton finally got his wish to open presents after asking every few minutes, i was kinda anxious myself. =)

Derek got me: nightmare before Christmas, Horton hears a who, polar express in 3d, few pajamas (one silky black pair that he had me open away from his family haha) , new shirts including a harajuku one, a new cute outfit that the employees at Charlotte russe helped him out with and telling him how lucky his girlfriend was, that's right bitches! =) anyways he also got me The Lion king off Broadway tickets at gammage!! so excited!
his sister Emily got me: a makeup kit from ulta, new shirt, a gwen orange county girl shirt.
his mom got me: a 3 set of Gwen purses (purse, wallet and makeup bag, That's the pic you see!) from Macy's!, Gwen perfumes (also from Derek's grandma) new shirts, black hoodie, necklace and bracelets, and sleeping beauty DVD, and Giada Delorentice cook book for Derek and me to share.

i got Derek: Tampa bay buccaneers dart board, beer mug, shirts and hat; a Jack Daniels cook book, mickey mouse's nightmare snow globe, and of course movies. we had $ 200 budget on each other and did pretty well i must say.
we got his family photo albums and spent a really long time at cvs printing out pictures for them of the kids, and got his sister new shirts, his dad a bottle of wine and his mom bbw stuff in her fave scent and a food processor.

it turned out to be a very good Christmas, full of presents and family,i'm looking forward to more Christmases like this, OK minus the lil drama here and there that comes along with it at my house AND at Derek's! oh well, that's family for ya right? The best present of all.

puppies and stuff

So Derek's family dog (chocolate lab named Brandy) had puppies early Friday morning, I went over to Derek's for thanksgiving after being with my family and Derek took Brandy to his sisters cuz they didn't want to leave her home alone and I walked in to see her in the garage and she was HUGE, I had a feeling she was gonna give birth really really soon and sure enough as soon as she settled and got in her bed and after thanksgiving was all over with, we woke up the next morning and she was nursing her newborn babies.
The number of pups kept changing, at first we thought it was 8, then it went down to 7 (cuz one got suffocated) and then Derek counted them after getting Brandy new bedding and there was 11! and the next day there was 12 and counted again there was 11 (she had a stillborn that was born late) and now its 10 puppies cuz another got suffocated cuz they get underneath the mama and she doesn't know they are underneath her like that. There are mostly little girl puppies, Derek wants to keep a boy.
We have to help Brandy feed them since there is so many she can't feed all of them when they all get hungry, so we feed them goats milk with honey. Some of them don't take to it too well and some sneeze when they drink it, and some gulp really loud cuz they think its tasty, its cute=) This doesn't really help us too well cuz i can sense we are getting attached to them by doing this. Its like taking care of your own babies, and they are only gonna get cuter. It kinda sucks we will have to give them away, but at least to good homes of our friends so we can still keep updated on how they are and see them every now and then. Derek and i were watching YouTube videos on lab puppies and I was so excited to see how much cuter they are gonna get.

anyways.. I am off duty today and tomorrow from helping out and taking care of the puppies. I am going Christmas shopping with Brittany cuz I barely have started on Derek's presents! so today we are going to the pavilions and then putting up the tree tonight when we get back, and tomorrow I'm gonna go see Four Christmases, hang out and eat some food with Amers, should be good times!

NO DOUBT!

so about over an hour ago i went on no doubts website and found they updated it, at first i thought it was just a new photo of them (still exciting, i said "oh my god" out loud as Derek was just falling asleep next to me) but after reading and looking around the site, they also announced a tour! I immediately texted Amers, thinking i was just gonna send her a simple text and then talk about it tomorrow but I should have known better, we texted back and forth for awhile.
the thought of us at the Gwen/No Doubt reunion show last year came to mind or how about when we were kids running out of Hard Rock Cafe in Newport Beach after seeing the huge No Doubt display and running to go buy more film for our cameras to capture every angle of it.. ah so many memories of this lil band from OC.

this is so freaking exciting!

Leaving Tomorrow!!!

finally the time has come.. Derek and i are ready to go to Cali.

today was a lil hectic we went to go get our car that we rented but when we got there they first said that Derek had to be 25 in order to rent it but then Derek corrected the guy telling him that they changed it and the age is now 21, the guy apologized and then he came across the fact that we needed a credit card after telling us we could pick out our car.. Derek was a lil upset that they didn't say anything about it on their website, anyways long story short we had to go get Derek's tires changed on his own car so it could be travel ready, and that took forever. but it's all good we got all the bad luck stuff out of the way today so we could have a fun trip. we are excited now!!!

we had our anniversary dinner at Maria Maria's.. so good! i had a margarita and the chicken enchiladas, I'm still full. we will definitely eat there again, i want to try the fish tacos next time.

next time i blog it will be about my wonderful trip!!

I dislike canker sores!

so I woke up this morning and my canker sore felt alot better, I gargled salt water a few times yesterday so that definitely helped. I was so worried cuz i read online that some canker sores can last up to two weeks and that would have sucked to have this canker sore on vacation so I'm glad its healing up and not as painful as it has been.

I was off work today so that gave me some extra time to help my mouth rest so that I don't have to talk as much, poor Derek has to work this weekend which sucks cuz I wont probably see him until Monday cuz he has long hours too.. oh well I do have a meeting at work Saturday morning anyways so i guess it all works out.

wow I blogged two days in a row!

jay leno

so we got our tickets to see Jay Leno in the mail the other day.. so exciting!! our tickets are for the Friday before we come back (July 11th) I don't know who the famous celebs who are gonna be interviewed on the show yet but still it's gonna be an awesome experience. the show films at 4 pm in the afternoon and it says for us to show up early to get a good seat inside the studio. I also can't wait for California's weather.

anyways.. for the past week I have been having some mouth sores.. first I had burnt the roof of my mouth (Derek did too cuz we ate the same thing) and then I had a sore inside my cheek cuz I had bit it and so now that both of those went completely away I now have a canker sore on my gum behind my wisdom tooth,I felt it hurt my gum when I bit down on what i was eating, but i have been taking care of it so hopefully it will clear up in the next few days. I do need to go to the dentist though, I have a feeling that I should get my wisdom tooth pulled anyways cuz it's not properly aligned with the rest of my teeth and it could cause problems down the road.

I made dinner tonight for Brittany and her friends I made homemade chicken fettuccine alfredo and bread sticks, it was awesome.

anyways thats all for now.

gwen purses

ok its really late and I'm tired.. and should be in bed but I havent updated in awhile.
so today Derek and i went to Tempe market place after i got off work and had lunch there, we saw alien ant farm doing sound check for their free show that we saw part of tonight. as we were leaving I decided to stop at Ross... bad idea... they had so many new Gwen purses I went kinda crazy in the store, I had 3 in my hand and was trying to limit myself and I saw another one i wanted but told myself to walk away and then Derek said he would buy it for me, I was telling him how much i love him for putting up with my Gwen stefani/no doubt obsession... cuz it really is an obsession cuz I was just thinking I don't normally like colorful purses and plus i never really was a handbag/purse kinda person I just used to carry a wallet in my back pocket but now i have to have them all.. darn you Gwen stefani!! oh well.. it was fun buying new purses I havent in awhile plus I'll use the one Derek got me for a beach bag for when we go to Cali.

speaking of the beach i had posted pics of Gwen and family at the beach but they didn't show up but i found a paparazzi video of it though.. I sometimes hate watching them cuz it invades so much of their privacy but at the same time its cool to see them and how they really are.. how Gwen watches Kingston and Gavin in the water its a cute video. I know I'm a dork but here's the video:

it's official

so Derek and i booked our hotel for vacation yesterday wooh wooh! we are staying in South El Monte, California it's between Anaheim and Burbank, we decided to stay there cuz we get a bigger and cooler hotel room (2 rooms- living room and bedroom) the price was a little bit less than a regular one bedroom in Anaheim and it has a mini refrigerator too! =) and did i mention we are going for our 1 year anniversary!!? I can't believe a whole year has gone by and I'm not sick of him yet.. haha jk. I love you bubba!

today i had a stupid day at work so I'm even more ready to go on this trip!

vacation planning

well Derek's and my vacation is pretty much all set we just have to book our hotel room.

we are leaving July 7th and coming back July 12th.
we are going to Disneyland/California adventure for 2 days! I'm so excited about that and being that it will be basically derek's first time there even though he went when he was 5 but Disneyland has changed alot since then and you don't really remember it that much when you are that young.
of course we will probably go to the beach as well, Huntington is my choice cuz I went there w/ Amers last year and it was beautiful!
AND.. i'm sending out a ticket request for Jay Leno today, he has free tickets for his show and they send them to you 2 weeks prior to the date you requested. so hopefully they will have tickets available for the week we will be there. I've always wanted to attend a live taping of his show so that would be awesome and also being that Jay Leno will be retiring soon. I know that they tape it during the day and so it will be fun to go back to our hotel and watch the show we saw taped live later on that night..
anyways I'm so excited to go on vacation and I really needed one, I'm so burnt out from work and it will be nice to take a break from this AZ weather, and it will Derek's and my 1st trip together too! yay!!!

traffic

so today derek and i were getting on the 202 to get on the 101 freeway.. I had a feeling that we shouldn't have gone on cuz you could already see the traffic and as we were getting on derek noticed there was no moving traffic on the 101 at all.. we sat in a standstill for about 45 minutes.. all because the president was on the 101 going to mesa. people were getting out of their cars and taking pics of the traffic with their cell phones. it was retarded. oh well......that was my rant.

the Gwen Stefani After-the-Fires Scholarship.

pic of gwen on May 15th!

The San Diego Foundation, which administers the largest non-university-based scholarship program in San Diego County, held its 10th annual Scholarships Awards Ceremony on May 17, 2008, at the University of San Diego’s Shiley Theatre for students, parents, school personnel and scholarship donors.

Over the past 10 years, The San Diego Foundation has witnessed steady growth in its scholarship funds. The Foundation offers a wide variety of scholarships, and this year alone more than 500 students received $2.5 million dollars in financial assistance.

One of the newest scholarships stands out for its heartfelt response to the tragic losses caused by the October 2007 fires that devastated San Diego County. Entertainer Gwen Stefani donated $165,000 in proceeds from her October 30, 2007 San Diego concert to The San Diego Foundation Fire Relief Fund. As a result, the Gwen Stefani After-the-Fires Scholarship fund was created for high school seniors and college students who lost their homes and/or source of income during the disaster.

"When the fires happened and we decided to donate the San Diego show proceeds to charity, it felt good to know that I could help in some way,” said Stefani, who surprised the crowd by personally presenting the scholarships to the recipients. “To be able to meet these kids and see that the scholarships are having such an impact on their future is very rewarding. It was an exciting day."

“The financial demands of recovering and rebuilding after the fires may result in families being unable to pay for their child’s education. In some cases, families have several children in college at the same time, which increases the financial burden the fires created for them,” said Todd Gutschow, chair of The San Diego Foundation’s Scholarship Selection Committee. “Ms. Stefani’s generous gift will allow these students to pursue their education as planned.”

The 16 Gwen Stefani After-the-Fires scholarship recipients come from all backgrounds with a variety of academic aspirations. Yet, they share the bond of losing everything in the October fires. Esther Hess, a senior from Rancho Bernardo High School, lost her home, as well as a substantial part of her father’s income due to the fires. The additional financial strain of three children in college at the same time was almost too much to bear. Esther feared that her dreams of attending college would have to be put on hold. Erica Wery, another fire victim, rushed to evacuate senior citizens from the elder care facility her family operated out of their home. Thankfully, everyone made it out safe, but Erica’s family lost their home and their income was affected, as well. Both of these students, along with 14 others, will be able to continue with their educational pursuits thanks to the financial assistance they receive from the Gwen Stefani After-the-Fires Scholarship.

“This is a way we really make a difference in the community,” stated Bob Kelly, president and CEO of The San Diego Foundation. “I thank Ms. Stefani for her generous gift because these scholarships not only help the students, but help San Diego for future generations. We are proud of these recipients and know that they have endured a lot to get to where they are.”

The San Diego Foundation continues to offer the scholarships for fire victims and the application deadline has been extended to June 30, 2008, to allow more students the opportunity to apply for scholarship assistance. The application form is available on The Foundation’s website at www.sdfoundation.org.

wow... never drinking one of these!! holy moly!

-The Unhealthiest Drink in America -
Baskin Robbin’s Large Heath Bar Shake (32 oz)
2,310 calories
266 g sugar
108 g fat (64 g saturated)

Let's look at America's Worst Drink in numbers:

73: The number of ingredients that go into this milkshake.
66: The number of teaspoons of sugar this drink contains.
11: The number of Heath Bars you would have to eat to equal the number of calories found in one Baskin Robbins Large Heath Bar Shake.
8-12: The average number of minutes it takes to consume this drink.
240: The number of minutes you’d need to spend on a treadmill burning it off, running at a moderate pace.

To give you some perspective, slurping up one 32-ounce Heath Shake is the caloric equivalent of eating 12 Krispy Kreme doughnuts, the saturated fat equivalent of scarfing 60 slices of bacon, and will give you the same sugar rush as working your way through 13 Haagen Dazs Vanilla and Almond ice cream bars.

The drink is part of Baskin Robbins “candy-bar madness” promotion — a deal struck with Hershey’s to any dairy derivative they can get their hands on with bite-size chunks of popular candies.

We put in a call to the company to check in on the product. They called us back to say they were discontinuing it at the end of May.

Whatever happened to the days when a milkshake was just ice cream and milk?

cheese!!!

I love cheese but i should start eating low-fat cheese... found this on yahoo.com

Determined to lose a few pounds but already feeling cranky and deprived? Take a cheese break. There’s nothing like cheese to make you feel like you’re not on a diet. And there are lots of low-fat varieties -- they’re just not all worth eating. But these 6 are. We know. The RealAge staff taste-tested dozens to find them. What’s more, there’s evidence that the calcium, protein, and other goodies in low-fat cheese (and other low-fat dairy foods) can actually help you lose weight, nourish your bones, lower your blood pressure, and reduce your risk of diabetes. End of bad mood, beginning of new body!

BEST SPREAD
Boursin Light
A homerun for cheese fans and garlic lovers alike. Just a schmear of this creamy spread goes a long way on a whole-wheat cracker or slice of baguette.
2/3 tsp: 40 calories, 2.5g fat (1.5g saturated), 3.4g protein, 2% DV calcium

BEST CRUMBLES
Trader Joe’s Fat- Free Feta
These moist, cheesy crumbles make a perfect final flourish for a baby spinach salad tossed with berries, walnuts, and balsamic vinaigrette.
1 ounce: 35 calories, 0g fat ( 0g saturated), 5g protein, 10% DV calcium
Treasure Cave Reduced Fat Crumbled Blue Cheese Great on salads and burgers yet has roughly half the fat of regular blue cheese. As with all blues, you must be a fan of salty and stinky to enjoy this one. Lucky for us, we are!
1/4 cup: 80 calories, 5g fat (3.5g saturated), 7g protein, 15% DV calcium

BEST SNACKS
Mini Babybel Light
These rounds of creamy, semi-soft cheese are perfect with a handful of grapes and a couple almonds.
1 round: 50 calories, 3g fat, 1.5g saturated fat, 6g protein, 20% DV of calcium

BEST SLICES
Jarlsberg Lite
Replace your usual Swiss slices with these thin, deli-style slices -- they have a mild, slightly nutty flavor and an almost sweet aftertaste.
1 ounce: 70 calories, 4g fat, 2g saturated fat, 9g protein, 25% DV calcium
Sargento Reduced Fat Provolone This mild Italian favorite maintains a nice buttery taste with a minimal amount of fat.
1 slice: 50 calories, 3.5g fat (2g saturated), 5g protein, 15% DV calcium

BEST FRINGE BENEFIT
Need another reason (besides fitting into your skinny jeans) to swap full-fat cheese for lower-fat choices? Try this: Eating a diet low in saturated fats (and trans fats too) can make your RealAge as much as 6 years younger.

They have a pretty big selection ranging from Smashing pumpkins to Nirvana to Nine inch nails.

my baby will be listening to No Doubt and Nine inch nails from the time they are inside my belly and i'm sure Derek would want the Led Zeppelin cd and yes I am insinuating that we will have kids together someday who else is gonna be my baby's daddy?? plus I don't think Jared Leto is very good daddy material =)

ain't that the truth!

CEOs say how you treat a waiter can predict a lot about character
By Del Jones, USA TODAY

Office Depot CEO Steve Odland remembers like it was yesterday working in an upscale French restaurant in Denver.

The purple sorbet in cut glass he was serving tumbled onto the expensive white gown of an obviously rich and important woman. "I watched in slow motion ruining her dress for the evening," Odland says. "I thought I would be shot on sight."

Thirty years have passed, but Odland can't get the stain out of his mind, nor the woman's kind reaction. She was startled, regained composure and, in a reassuring voice, told the teenage Odland, "It's OK. It wasn't your fault." When she left the restaurant, she also left the future Fortune 500 CEO with a life lesson: You can tell a lot about a person by the way he or she treats the waiter.

Odland isn't the only CEO to have made this discovery. Rather, it seems to be one of those rare laws of the land that every CEO learns on the way up. It's hard to get a dozen CEOs to agree about anything, but all interviewed agree with the Waiter Rule.

They acknowledge that CEOs live in a Lake Wobegon world where every dinner or lunch partner is above average in their deference. How others treat the CEO says nothing, they say. But how others treat the waiter is like a magical window into the soul.

And beware of anyone who pulls out the power card to say something like, "I could buy this place and fire you," or "I know the owner and I could have you fired." Those who say such things have revealed more about their character than about their wealth and power.

Whoever came up with the waiter observation "is bang spot on," says BMW North America President Tom Purves, a native of Scotland, a citizen of the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, who lives in New York City with his Norwegian wife, Hilde, and works for a German company. That makes him qualified to speak on different cultures, and he says the waiter theory is true everywhere.

The CEO who came up with it, or at least first wrote it down, is Raytheon CEO Bill Swanson. He wrote a booklet of 33 short leadership observations called Swanson's Unwritten Rules of Management. Raytheon has given away 250,000 of the books.

Among those 33 rules is only one that Swanson says never fails: "A person who is nice to you but rude to the waiter, or to others, is not a nice person."

Swanson says he first noticed this in the 1970s when he was eating with a man who became "absolutely obnoxious" to a waiter because the restaurant did not stock a particular wine.

"Watch out for people who have a situational value system, who can turn the charm on and off depending on the status of the person they are interacting with," Swanson writes. "Be especially wary of those who are rude to people perceived to be in subordinate roles."

The Waiter Rule also applies to the way people treat hotel maids, mail room clerks, bellmen and security guards. Au Bon Pain co-founder Ron Shaich, now CEO of Panera Bread, says he was interviewing a candidate for general counsel in St. Louis. She was "sweet" to Shaich but turned "amazingly rude" to someone cleaning the tables, Shaich says. She didn't get the job.

Shaich says any time candidates are being considered for executive positions at Panera Bread, he asks his assistant, Laura Parisi, how they treated her, because some applicants are "pushy, self-absorbed and rude" to her before she transfers the call to him.

Just about every CEO has a waiter story to tell. Dave Gould, CEO of Witness Systems, experienced the rule firsthand when a waitress dumped a full glass of red wine on the expensive suit of another CEO during a contract negotiation. The victim CEO put her at ease with a joke about not having had time to shower that morning. A few days later, when there was an apparent impasse during negotiations, Gould trusted that CEO to have the character to work out any differences.

CEOs who blow up at waiters have an ego out of control, Gould says. "They're saying, 'I'm better. I'm smarter.' Those people tend not to be collaborative."

"To some people, speaking in a condescending manner makes them feel important, which to me is a total turnoff," says Seymour Holtzman, chairman of Casual Male Retail Group, which operates big-and-tall men's clothing stores including Casual Male XL.

How people were raised

Such behavior is an accurate predictor of character because it isn't easily learned or unlearned but rather speaks to how people were raised, says Siki Giunta, CEO of U.S. technology company Managed Objects, a native of Rome who once worked as a London bartender.

More recently, she had a boss who would not speak directly to the waiter but would tell his assistant what he wanted to eat, and the assistant would tell the waiter in a comical three-way display of pomposity. What did Giunta learn about his character? "That he was demanding and could not function well without a lot of hand-holding from his support system," she said.

It's somewhat telling, Giunta says, that the more elegant the restaurant, the more distant and invisible the wait staff is. As if the more important the customer, the less the wait staff matters. People view waiters as their temporary personal employees. Therefore, how executives treat waiters probably demonstrates how they treat their actual employees, says Sara Lee CEO Brenda Barnes, a former waitress and postal clerk, who says she is a demanding boss but never shouts at or demeans an employee.

"Sitting in the chair of CEO makes me no better of a person than the forklift operator in our plant," she says. "If you treat the waiter, or a subordinate, like garbage, guess what? Are they going to give it their all? I don't think so."

CEOs aren't the only ones who have discovered the Waiter Rule. A November survey of 2,500 by It's Just Lunch, a dating service for professionals, found that being rude to waiters ranks No. 1 as the worst in dining etiquette, at 52%, way ahead of blowing your nose at the table, at 35%.

Waiters say that early in a relationship, women will pull them aside to see how much their dates tipped, to get a read on their frugality and other tendencies. They are increasingly discussing boorish behavior by important customers at www.waiterrant.net and other blogs. They don't seem to mind the demanding customer, such as those who want meals prepared differently because of high blood pressure. But they have contempt for the arrogant customer.

Rule works with celebrities, too

The Waiter Rule also applies to celebrities, says Jimmy Rosemond, CEO of agency Czar Entertainment, who has brokered deals for Mike Tyson, Mario Winans and Guerilla Black. Rosemond declines to name names, but he remembers one dinner episode in Houston a few years back with a rude divisional president of a major music company.

When dinner was over, Rosemond felt compelled to apologize to the waiter on the way out. "I said, 'Please forgive my friend for acting like that.' It's embarrassing. They go into rages for simple mistakes like forgetting an order."

Rosemond says that particular music executive also treated his assistants and interns poorly — and was eventually fired.

Odland says he saw all types of people 30 years ago as a busboy. "People treated me wonderfully and others treated me like dirt. There were a lot of ugly people. I didn't have the money or the CEO title at the time, but I had the same intelligence and raw ability as I have today.

"Why would people treat me differently? Your value system and ethics need to be constant at all times regardless of who you are dealing with."

Holtzman grew up in the coal-mining town of Wilkes-Barre, Pa., and in the 1950s saw opportunity as a waiter 90 miles away in the Catskill Mountains, where customers did not tip until the end of the week. When they tipped poorly, he would say: "Sir, will you and your wife be tipping separately?"

"I saw a lot of character, or the lack thereof," says Holtzman, who says he can still carry three dishes in his right hand and two in his left.

"But for some twist of fate in life, they're the waiter and you're the one being waited on," Barnes says.

Hey No Doubters

Been thinking so much about you all lately as I am back in the studio again with the boys trying to write some new music. What an amazing few years it has been. So inspired going through the dance record phase of my life. Thank you so much for all your support! The tour was incredible. We ended up doing over 100 shows around the world and it was so rewarding and again inspiring. Thank you to everyone who came out to see it...memories for life! Great to be home with with all my boys. Feels crazy to be pregnant all over again!!!!! We have been spending every day up in the little studio in our house trying to write music. My favorite part so far is just seeing the guys everyday and hanging out. We have so much fun together. The songwriting part is a bit slow on my part...I think it has something to do with the baby in my belly but I'm sure it is all of the process and I really believe this could be the most inspired No Doubt record so far. Cant wait to see what happens. All my love g

its been a lil while since i posted a new blog so here we go..

this month has been a busy one.. April started off with Derek's birthday, we didn't too much the day of but he did open his present i got for him , i got him new shorts and board-shorts for the summer and a hand held game called "20 questions" which is a fun and cool game that guesses what object you are thinking of.. we celebrated his birthday the following weekend, we went to Dave and busters in Tempe with Jeff and Candice, we got drunk and had lots of fun.. i think i wanna have part of my birthday there too. On Saturday we went to the Texas Roadhouse for dinner with his family, they had a balloon guy that made him a hat with a flower on it and they sat him on the birthday saddle, I'll have to find time to sit at my computer to upload the pics.. so funny.

the following week we took my lil bro Josh and Derek's nephew to Finding Nemo on ice! they had so much fun and were well-behaved I was so happy they had fun!! at one point Josh was clapping and dancing, he's so cute! Derek payed for the souvenirs since I payed for the tickets.

Amy's 26th birthday was last week too. I got her a Gwen watch to add to her collection and was glad to find that she hadn't gotten one yet. we had food at my work for only $10, cant beat that!!

anyways today is Friday.. I've been lounging around and I bought pre-sale tickets to Motley Crue's Cruefest w/ Buckcherry and Papa Roach among other bands for Derek and I cuz he was telling me about he wanted to go and i got cheaper priced tickets for good seating.. I'm going to work in a lil bit and then I don't know what Derek and I will be doing later.. i kinda wanna have drink or 2 tonight.. sounds good to me =)

so.....

I have a busy weekend up ahead.
for starters, i had to go deposit money in the bank today and go to the library to print of a bunch of concert tickets cuz my printer sucks. i cant believe how many tickets for shows i have bought!!

I'm also working tonight and then after that Derek and i will probably head over to hang out with his friends Jeff and Candice for Jeff's birthday out in Chandler, we both can't drink too much since we have an even busier day tomorrow for his nephews birthday in which we will have to get up early to go pick up balloons and my lil brother Josh, his family is getting a Spiderman bounce house for all the kids to play in, Derek said that there might be around twenty kids all together, wow! .

I have to work a double shift on Sunday as always... i dread Sundays.. I really do. I wish i could lay in bed all day with Derek and watch movies in which we tend to do that most of the time during the week when we hang out..

I love how we can just be together in just comfortable silence or have random talks and sillyness, (speaking of kids) we are a bunch of kids ourselves, we go to Toys R' us, I bought us foam nerf guns and old school card games like Go Fish and Old Maid, they are fun. A couple weekends ago we played Monopoly Vegas edition for 4 hours!! we watch Disney movies, we are perfect for each other.. I could go on and on and about all the reasons why.. but that could get pretty long, oh yeah and Bubba's (Derek) birthday is on Wednesday! so excited!!

anyways thats all for now.

March.22.2008

today is Saturday.. Saturday's for the past few months have been my only day off from work. usually i spend my Saturday's with Derek (my wonderful boyfriend of almost 9 months) but he's out of town until Monday or so.. he's been out of town since wednesday for work. this is the longest we have been apart so I miss him very much but i will survive.

so today I've been a lil bit lazy i just got out of the shower and was playing online earlier I was on us.stream watching and talking to Amy, it was funny being in my apartment and seeing Amy in her room getting ready and talking with her.

later my sister Brittany and me are gonna go shopping and probably do a lil birthday shopping too.. i have so many family and friends birthdays coming up!! next weekend is Derek's nephew's and his best friend Jeff's birthday, i was gonna go see Fergie at the Tempe music fest but i decided to give the tickets to my little sis and her friends since i'll be busy that weekend. Derek's birthday is coming up too on April 2nd, I spoil him so much, he told me not to buy him anything besides new underwear.. he's so silly. Then my best friend Amy's birthday is April 9th ( I already got her a lil something for her birthday but not saying what it is but I know she will love it!!) and my mommy's birthday is April 14th! it's funny all the ones that are closest to me are all Aries! busy month of April.... and not to forget Finding Nemo on ice on April 10th, Derek and I are taking his nephew Kolton and my lil brother Joshy to the show, and not that I'm excited to go too since I'm such a Disney dork.

anyways i gotta go get ready.. I'm not much of a blogger so i will try to upkeep with this as much as i can.
